We’re on Board

In 2020 the United Kingdom, United States of America and Holland will commemorate the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower. As the lead city in the UK, Plymouth has a huge opportunity and one of the major key projects that launched in October was the Mayflower Autonomous Ship.

We are proud to back this great project – a ship that sails itself, using pioneering new technology, inspiring young people and collaborating with so many businesses on this brave adventure. As a business we do not normally have budget for any additional activity, but this is once in a lifetime stuff and a chance we couldn’t miss.

From an educational point it view it offers local children and young people a massive opportunity:

This project will benefit the education of school children all over Plymouth and neighbouring towns and villages, by allowing them to be a part of this world first, history making experience.

At least 35,000 primary and secondary school children will be invited to join in with this project and will be given the opportunity to be part of it.

We are excited about 2020 and we are keen to back this creative and challenging project. We hope you will come on board to make this happen. With just 21 days left on the Crowdfunder campaign they have reached 73% of their target… You have three weeks to make a difference and be part of something ground breaking!
