We would like to offer a huge congratulations to Drake Circus who have been awarded the prestigious title of Shopping Centre of the Year! We are thrilled for everyone involved and can’t think of a more deserving team, especially following their ten year anniversary! Here’s to the next ten years!

At a glittering awards event in Brighton last night, Drake Circus scooped the Primary category for best shopping centre customer service, before going onto win the overall award – Top ACE, the best customer service award in the UK.
Drake Circus is now the Shopping Centre of the Year in the UK for 2017, out of over 150 entries.
The award is an extra special achievement for Drake Circus, as it celebrates its 10th birthday this year, recognising ten years of hard work by the Drake Circus team to achieve an excellent retail experience for customers.
The award is also a culmination of customer service training and development over the last three years:
92% of the Drake Circus team are trained according to World Host Principles of Customer Service
91% of the Drake Circus team have taken part in advance training to become World Host Ambassadors
76% of the team are Dementia awareness trained – with more training scheduled for this month.
Over the last 12 months, to engage with its customers and local community, the centre has also:
* Held a Dementia Tea Dance for those with dementia
* Raised over £10k for local chosen charities
* Held a 10 years Birthday party for customers and staff
* Introduced a ‘Star Awards Program’ to award customer service excellence amongst our team

Customer service is at the core of what we do. To be named Shopping Centre of the Year as we celebrate our tenth birthday is a stunning achievement for the team and a brilliant coup for Plymouth.”
