Friday 31st March, 2017|Category: News

With the Easter holidays approaching, you are probably starting to think of fun activities to keep your children entertained over the break! If so, you are in luck as we have collated the best activities taking place in and around the city which are sure to have the whole family smiling. If you are local, how wonderful to have so much right on your doorstep! If you are from further afield, why not plan a trip to Plymouth over the Easter break?

Here are some of our favourite events, the following information was provided by the event organisers:

Quiet at the Aquarium

Sunday 2nd April
5.00 pm – 7.00 pm, £5.00 per child, carers free

We open our doors for a special two-hour event that allows families and people with autism to enjoy our exhibits without the noise and distraction of our daily shows. Visitors will be able to explore all of our exhibits without the normal daytime crowds, so the focus is truly on our amazing animals. We are currently studying the therapeutic properties of aquaria and how it relaxes us all and we see this event as a way families can experience that tranquillity on their own terms. The event is tailored for people with autism and other sensory needs.

Over 60 regular stallholders from across Devon and Cornwall, including The Olive Branch, and award winning Riverford Organic Farmers will flock to Royal William Yard for the bustling Sunday market.

This year the Easter Hunt Eggstravaganza will take place all over Royal William Yard between 10:00 and 15:00. Accompanied by parents, children are invited to join the hunt alongside the Yard’s Alice and Wonderland characters to find Eggs-citing clues which reveal a mystery phrase.
