Festive Friday Fun!

For the second year running, The Duke team took part in Festive Friday, wearing their favourite Christmas jumpers in a bid to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice. We think they all look fabulously festive, especially with our stunning Ballroom in the background all set up for Christmas parties! With Christmas around the corner, this is a great way to raise money for charity and anyone can take part!

The following information was provided by St Luke’s Hospice and describes the difference that your support can make to the charity.

It is estimated that over the Christmas week, over 300 patients will be receiving specialist end of life care from St Luke’s. We’re always there to care and your festive donations will help support the patients spending Christmas Day, and any day, at our specialist unit in Turnchapel, add some sparkle to our unit at Derriford Hospital and keep the wheels of our Community team turning as they work with patients and their families at home to make every moment count at this special time of year.

But, it’s only with your help. We need to raise over £4 million each year to continue to offer this expert care to local people completely free of charge. The money you raise will go to help one of our patients, at home, in hospital or at Turnchapel this Christmas. So grab a jumper, a cake tin or a Santa hat – get festive with St Luke’s!
