Jeremiah’s Journey Celebrate Two Decades of Support!
For many years we have been proud to support Jeremiah’s Journey. This year is particularly significant for the charity and we wanted to do a special blog marking their 20th Anniversary!
For the team this signifies 20 years of supporting local children and their families in Plymouth and the surrounding area. In that time they have seen many changes and developed their service to meet the needs of the growing community.
Jonathan Morcom, hotel Director said:
“I first became aware of the work Jeremiah’s Journey do when they came into talk about holding the ball at The Duke six years ago. As a business we were keen to support the charity because of the fantastic work they do supporting local families. The annual ball is always a pleasure to host, support and attend with an exciting new theme each year. We hope the 2016 Orient Express raised significant funds in such a landmark year. I really enjoyed the night and it was a pleasure to see so many people having fun for a worthwhile cause and putting their hand in their pocket!”
The Duke have been holding the charity’s Annual Ball since 2010 and our Ballroom has seen many magical themes.
From the Moulin Rouge...
To the Magic of Narnia...
And most recently we took a trip on the Orient Express...
There are so many ways that individuals and businesses can support this amazing local charity to make sure they are around for the next 20 years and beyond. If you’d like to get involved, you can visit their website for more details. You can also contact the team on 01752 424348 or by email.
We know that the work they do makes a real difference and we are thankful that Plymouth has such a vital service available to families in desperate need of support.
