An egg-cellent Easter in Britain’s Ocean City

Easter is an exciting time in Britain’s Ocean City, with lots of fantastic activities to keep children (and parents) entertained. We wanted to share just a few of our favourites and provide you with some fabulous inspiration for the school holidays and beyond.

Easter Break on The Barbican – 30th March – 2nd April

This Easter, there is lots to see and do on the Plymouth Barbican.

Join us for the Eggstra special Barbican Easter Bunny Bingo! Eggsplore the Barbican and find the matching pictures to help our Bunny complete his Bingo Card.

You can collect your FREE bingo cards from the Tourist Information Centre from Good Friday until Easter Monday. There’s a sweet treat waiting for everyone who returns their completed sheets and there is also a chance to win a £100 voucher for a professional family studio photo shoot with Pin and Pose.

Shark and Ray Easter Games - 31st March – 15th April

hose who regularly read our blog posts will know how much we love the aquarium. With a variety of activities including ‘Quiet at the Aquarium’, and ‘Shark and Ray Easter Games’, there is a lot going on.

Everyone knows how amazing sharks are, but their closely related cousins Rays don’t always share the limelight. Until now! Our ‘Shark and Ray Easter Games’ which will showcase both shark-tastic sharks and ray-ly cool rays! You’ll find out facts about these ocean animals that will blow your mind! Not only that, but you’ll be able to meet our very own famous shark and ray family including ‘Howie’ one of our massive Sand Tiger Sharks and ‘Coolwhip’ the giant Honeycomb Whiptail Ray who lives in our Great Barrier Reef Exhibit.

Easter Wonderland at Royal William Yard – 1st April

Don’t be late for a very important date … Royal William Yard springs into action on Sunday 1st April with a Mad Hatters tea party, Easter Egg Hunt and the ever-popular Good Food Market.

Join Alice in Wonderland and friends for a fun, lively and slightly mad tea party on the lawn…pull up a chair at the Mad Hatters table for an unforgettable experience. There’ll be an extra special appearance from street performer, Rimski’s Bicycle Piano. Chase him as he brings music, entertainment and a little more madness to the Yard. This spectacular event will be delivered by the world renowned Invisible Circus, who have previously thrilled crowds at the Yard with their amazing Weekend of Wonders.
