November 29 - December 16
Plymouth’s Christmas Market is set to return to Plymouth city centre from 29th November-16th December. The lights from the log cabins illuminate the piazza and signal the beginning of Christmas for many local people.
The following details were taken from the Visit Plymouth website where you can also find a full list of traders.
Over 50 log cabins and other seasonal stalls, festooned with fairy lights, will house traders from the South West and beyond, selling everything from handmade jewellery and clothing, to artwork and homewares. You can even pick up a real Christmas tree!
Some of the region’s favourite food and drink traders will also be returning to the Market this year, including Smeaton’s Smokehouse who specialise in smoked cheese and meats, English Spirit Distillery who will be selling a range of premium liqueurs and Edward’s Fudge Kitchen who have over thirty flavours of delicious artisan fudge to choose from. If your little ones like story time make sure to visit local author, Alison, who will be selling a selection of her children’s stories entitled ‘Behind the Fairy Door’ in paperback and hardback with an assortment of merchandise and toys.
If you’re feeling chilly after having a browse, warm up with a drink from the Bavarian Bar or tuck into some delicious festive food from one of the many street food stands on offer.
New for 2018: Plymouth Argyle will be selling club merchandise from one of the cabins, so if you have some Pilgrim supporters to buy for this Christmas why not pop down to see what’s on offer.
Also brand new this year is our illuminated bauble arch! Big enough to walk through, it’s perfect for those festive family snaps.
There will also be live music to entertain the crowds each Thursday to Sunday for the duration of the Market. Listen to the sounds of choirs and local musicians, sure to put you in the festive mood as you wander through the great range of stalls.
The Christmas Market will be open until 6pm Monday to Saturday and until 5pm on Sunday, with late openings every Thursday until 9pm, so you can take your time and enjoy browsing the stalls under the sparkling city centre Christmas lights.
