It’s New York and Bobby is celebrating his 35th birthday with a few good friends. They are all with their partners and worried he won’t make a commitment to get married – he has three girlfriends but is looking for the one woman to combine all their good points. Are the friends all happy with their relationships? Come on – this is New York! Can they get him to blow out the candles on the birthday cake and make that commitment? The play won six Tonys when it was first performed (the theatrical equivalent of an Oscar). And the music is by the master, Stephen Sondheim. With hits like “The little things you do together”, the title song, “Company” and the showstopper “Side by side by side”. A grown up musical not to be missed.
