Improving Lives Plymouth

Improving Lives Plymouth have been providing support to those in need since 1907. To mark the 110th anniversary, a celebratory concert is being held at Plymouth Guildhall this Thursday. With a fantastic line-up in a truly iconic setting, this evening is sure to be one you will remember for years to come.

Compered by Judi Spiers, one of the best known and loved faces, and voices of the Westcountry, Celebration! is a 110th Anniversary Concert for local Charity Improving Lives Plymouth.

An international star, with local acts, will give us a night to remember at Plymouth Guildhall on 12th October 2017 at 7.30 pm. George Plenderleith, Improving Lives said, “We hope that many local people will join us in this anniversary celebration in our lovely historic Great Hall in the city centre. We have kept prices down to £15 a ticket, so we can fill the Guildhall for this very special occasion.”

Acts include, Plymouth Symphony Orchestra, Tenor David Webb with Paul Foster on pianoforte, Ocean City Sound Barbershop Choir with over 40 singers and Improving Lives own Caring for Carers, Ukulele Band.

Headliner, British tenor David Webb is from St Budeaux in Plymouth and was a choral scholar at Truro Cathedral and then studied at the Royal College of Music International Opera School. As a “Classical Crossover” singer, he signed to Warner Bros, where he sang at the Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace, Wembley Stadium and on the Royal Flotilla for the Queen’s Jubilee. David has sung at opera houses around the world including the Teatro Real Madrid, Opera Comique Paris, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and the Mariinsky Theatre Russia. He recently made his debut for English National Opera as Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance as a Harewood Artist. He returns to the company this season as Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Messenger in a new production of Aida.
