Bring your Hurley Home

“The Hurley Owners Association will be staging the Bring Your Hurley Home event between Friday 22 and Sunday 24 July 2016 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the new Hurley line here in Plymouth ‘Britain’s Ocean City’ where it all began. Events include:-

22 July – dozens of Hurley boats gather at King Point Marina;

23 July – Hurley boats sail from Drakes Island along The Hoe to Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club – open to all Hurley owners but please follow sailing instructions;

24 July – Plymouth City Council plaque unveiled at Richmond Walk to commemorate what George Hurley did for the marine industry in Plymouth – ‘Britain’s Ocean City’

Plymouth residents, current / ex-Hurley owners and as many ex-workers who produced Hurley boats for Hurley or South Coast Marine in Plymouth are invited to witness the sail past and chat about old times – best viewed with a beverage from the balcony of the Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club from 12pm until 3pm !
