Waterski and Powerboat Race

In its third successive year on the weekend of 8-9th October, offshore power boating and water-ski racing comes to Plymouth.

Offshore Circuit racing (OCR) runs close circuit racing with varied classes of powerboats. These boats can reach in excess of 70mph and close racing is assured. With competitors coming from all across the UK and Europe for the final round of the season, it should make for a packed entry list. The south west water-ski racing will also be hosting the last round of their regional championships here, which usually attracts competitors from all over the country.

There will be three races on the day, a main race of 35mins, support of 25 mins and a social class/kids race of 10 mins. Previous entries last year included Formula one boats capable of over 100mph. Competitors will be arriving during the afternoon at the Mountbatten Centre on Friday 7th October and the public is invited to come and view these fabulous machines and talk with the crew and competitors.
