For the fourth consecutive year, MTV Crashes is set to return to Plymouth! Previous performers have included a number of chart topping artists – Tinie Tempah, The Kaiser Chiefs, Little Mix, Example, Jess Glynne and Rudimental. The concert takes place on Plymouth Hoe with breathtaking sea views, making this the perfect choice of venue! Thousands of people, both local and travelling from further afield purchase tickets to attend this wonderful event and it is clear to see why! There is always an array of food vans selling a wide variety of cuisines to cater for every taste. The atmosphere is electric, with a sea of people waiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite act. As the sun sets, the glow from the sky coupled with the lights from the stage truly creates a sight to behold. We can’t wait to attend this year and are proud to be the official accommodation sponsor! We look forward to welcoming lots of visitors to our great city!

The following information was provided by the organisers of MTV Crashes Plymouth where you can find full details about the event.

MTV UK have announced the first round of performers for MTV Crashes Plymouth. The first acts to play Day One of the biggest music event in the South-West, on Thursday 27th July, are chart toppers Sigma, who will be playing a full live set, and pop princess Louisa Johnson. If that isn’t enough excitement for Day One, Club MTV on Day Two will see International superstar DJ, Martin Garrix, hitting the stage on Friday 28th July. Club MTV favourites, R3WIRE & Varski, will also be returning to the sunny south-coast to get the crowds dancing the night away on Plymouth Hoe.
Following the success of last year’s MTV Crashes Plymouth, which boasted a line-up of Rudimental, Jess Glynne and Raleigh Ritchie, MTV are heading back to Britain’s Ocean City for another double hit of performances from some of the biggest names from around the globe.

DJ and production duo, Sigma, have topped the charts with hit records such as Nobody to Love and follow up collaboration Changing with Paloma Faith. They are no strangers to the UK festival scene, having performed having performed at Glastonbury, V Festival and Reading & Leeds. The dance duo sold out their debut live tour and more recently their Brixton academy show. Sigma are the only drum and bass ensemble to have performed at the BAFTAs ceremony one night, and a warehouse rave the next. Their debut album, Life, flew through the Top 40 album charts and included an impressive list of collaborations, including Labrinth, Rita Ora and Ella Henderson.

Sigma said: “We can’t wait to bring our live show to MTV Crashes Plymouth this year. The crowd always looks amazing and up for a party!”
Next up on the line-up is X Factor’s youngest winner ever, Louisa Johnson, who shot to success in 2015. Since winning the coveted record deal with Syco, the blonde beauty has featured on Clean Bandit’s hit single, Tears, and has released her own official Top 40 chart single, So Good.

Louisa Johnson said: “It feels SO GOOD to be playing MTV Crashes Plymouth this year, what an amazing line up to be a part of. I can’t wait!”

Taking the stage for Club MTV on Day Two, global dance music dynamo, Martin Garrix, has topped charts and headlined festivals all around the world. One of EDM’s youngest stars, Garrix rose to fame with his smash single, Animals, at age 17. He has since taken home the Best Electronic honor at the 2016 EMAs and rocked the MTV EMA World Stage. Today, the multi-platinum selling artist has remixed and collaborated with some of the biggest names in music including Usher, Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa and more. ‘In The Name of Love’ has continued to dominate the airwaves in the US and internationally, followed up by the release of ‘Scared To Be Lonely’ at the beginning of this year. But that is just the tip of the iceberg; Martin Garrix has a lot more in store for us this year!

Martin Garrix said: “Plymouth! I’m so excited to be heading your way this summer to perform! I can’t wait to party with you guys, hope to see you there!”
The beaming line up will also be accompanied by Club MTV Resident DJs R3WIRE & VARSKI who are sure to have the crowd buzzing from start to finish.

R3WIRE & Varksi said: “Plymouth we’re so excited to be returning with MTV! How could we resist partying by the sea again?”
