Designer Jenny and her small team at Hip Hip Hooray Wedding Stationery are based in Tavistock, Devon and love creating gorgeous wedding designs for brides and grooms all over the UK.

Their signature style is bold, bright and (I’m sure you’ll agree) beautiful, but there are also lots of delicate pastel and laser cut designs to love.

CaptureWith over 200 styles to choose from, you’re sure to find that perfect invitation to match your theme and colour scheme.
From DIY to putting on the Ritz, country chic or glamour and glitz,
a local event or a shindig abroad, this is the home of stylish, gorgeous stationary that you can afford
(and they are clearly poets!)

Ordering your stationery needn’t be stressful – at HipHipHooray.com you can personalise your favourite designs online with live previews as you type your names in. You can see exactly how it is going to look before you commit.

On a budget? You can make your wedding funds stretch further by printing your own designs, or for a professional finish, let the team at Hip Hip Hooray print your order with beautiful results every time.

We were lucky enough to use Jenny and her team for our first wedding shoot here at The Duke of Cornwall Hotel! Her design fitted perfectly with the Hollywood Glamour style we were going for (I’m sure you’ll agree) and her professionalism was second to none. Thank you Hip Hip Hooray!

We sat down with Jenny and asked her a few questions:

When and why you started designing wedding stationery?

I have been designing stationery for 5 years now. I started out with a bespoke design studio which was very quirky and fun, and we have now expanded and re-branded to Hip Hip Hooray, which reflects our design style perfectly.

Your company is full of colour – what’s your favourite colour combination?

I am a sucker for bright, punchy colours which are so fun to incorporate into designs. I love anything with teal in, and I’m a big fan of pink and gold too.

You have so many amazing designs, do you have a particular favourite?

Our vintage style designs have to be our most popular, and at the moment we’re sending out lots of pastel stationery for spring and summer weddings. Our best-selling collection this month has been this pretty peach and green ‘Floral Wreath’ wedding stationery set, with hand painted watercolour flowers and pretty calligraphy fonts.

You must have had some crazy and unique requests as you do bespoke design?

Wedding invites and reception stationery can offer one of the easiest ways to convey your personalities and add some real character to your big day, so it’s only natural that we get a lot of requests to incorporate all sorts of themes into our designs. In the past we have been asked to illustrate pet bunnies, guinea pigs, plenty of dogs and even a goldfish! We’ve also done scrabble themed invitations, James Bond seating plans and Disney inspired designs! There’s never a dull moment…

What would be your top tips for couples who are just about to begin their wedding journey?

Try and enjoy the planning and don’t sweat the small stuff! As the quote goes; ‘A wedding is a party not a performance. If at the end of the day you are married to the one you love, everything went perfectly.’

Where does your inspiration come from?

I actually started out with a hobby for scrapbooking – especially vintage style designs. Glue, buttons and vintage papers evolved into graphic design and printing, and I have never looked back.

What makes you stand out to a couple and your business special?

Aside from our fun and varied designs – we have a rather funky website which allows brides to personalise invitations themselves online. There’s no more going back and forth waiting for design proofs, requesting changes or worrying about typo’s. Brides and grooms can choose a design they like, type in their own text on the website and see live previews as they type. This means you can see exactly how your stationery will look before you commit… We’re also different in that as well as offering our professional printing service, we also offer all our stationery as printable PDFs which DIY brides love to print from home, saving those hard earned wedding pennies!

Are there any grand plans for Hip Hip Hooray?

We have a to-do list bulging with new product lines, design themes and fab ideas! Now – just need to find the time for a little sleep in between making it all happen…

Is there anything else you’d like us to know?

I would love to invite brides and grooms to take a look at our wedding stationery designs and just to say that we’d be happy to send them some free samples of our invitations, save the dates, table numbers and more…

There’s never a dull moment at Hip Hip Hooray HQ! With a cosy corner for Loki the dog, a mini creche for an adorable toddler, and a ‘work’ station for a 7 year old, it’s fair to say the team are dab hands at multi-tasking! As a small, family run business, customer service is of the utmost importance and Jenny & Yolie love nothing more than to look after their clients, seeing their role in your wedding as a great privilege.
