Fashion in the City

Fashion in the City is returning for 2017 with a week of activities to celebrate all that Plymouth fashion has to offer. With its close proximity to the sea and moor as well as fabulous shopping in the city centre, Britain’s Ocean City really is the place to be for the fashion conscious!

Plymouth has pulled out all the stops with a fantastic line up of events taking place around the city. Students from Plymouth College of Art and Stars Salon will be providing FREE beauty treatments, that’s right free! Treatments include mini manicures, dry hair styling and beauty consultations to ensure you leave feeling well and truly pampered. The Beauty Spots are located at Royal William Yard (just down the road from us), Flannels and Plymouth Market. Sit back and relax whilst making the most of this fabulous opportunity, we will certainly be stopping by!

After you have enjoyed some pampering, head over to Fashion in Focus, a promenade exhibition taking place across four city centre locations – Drake Circus, The Treasury, Rumpus Cosy and Plymouth Market. This wonderful exhibition will explore the cities fabulous wealth of fashion photography and will include imagery from the Plymouth College of Art graduate collections.

Take a well earned break and stop off at a series of locations around Plymouth for a Fashion Brunch. Here you will find everything from a delicious cream tea, to savoury treats and even cocktails.

The finale of the week takes place at Drake Circus, the Westcountry’s most popular shopping centre. As well as branded clothing, the catwalk will showcase prize winning collections from this years Plymouth College of Art students as well as providing attendees with a variety of styling advice and beauty demonstrations. With the show hosted by Heart Radio’s Josh Andrews and featuring an exciting collection of on-trend high street styles, this is the perfect way to end a fabulous week!
