Armed Forces Day

Plymouth’s Armed Forces Day, which was attended by around 50,000 people in 2015, will once again bring together a range of exciting entertainment, activities and shows by working in partnership with all of the Armed Forces in the city. This event is scheduled to take place on 25 June.

Plans to date include the following:

  • Static displays including helicopters, historic military vehicles and demonstrations
  • Veterans parade on the Hoe including over 30 Royal British Legion Standards
  • Arena displays featuring cadets, combat displays and marching bands
  • The Rifles Freedom of the City parade
  • Air displays
  • The Field gun competition between two teams from the senior service
  • Veterans parade on the Hoe including over 30 Royal British Legion Standards
  • The annual RAF and Allied Air Forces Monument Service
  • Children’s music programme from Plymouth Youth Music Services
