It is an exciting time at the yard with a fabulous array of events lined up to get you in the festive spirit! First in the event calendar is the fantastic Illuminate! The following details were provided by the event organisers and give an overview of what attendees can look forward to. Illuminate, an event marking the anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower, takes on a stunning new location in Plymouth’s historic Royal William Yard on Nov 24-26. We are absolutely delighted to have been announced as a finalist in the Devon Tourism Awards in the Venue and Business Tourism Award category. We are looking forward to the Awards ceremony in November at Plymouth Guildhall. The following information was provided by the Devon Tourism Awards. Devon’s leading tourism businesses have been chosen for the finals of the Devon Tourism Awards which will be presented at a prestigious ceremony on 23rd November 2017. Wallflower Project

Local artists have teamed up with Plymouth University to create visually stunning pieces that will remain for years to come. With one mural completed and four more to go, it’s going to make a wonderful trail around the city! The project will add another feature for guests and visitors to enjoy whilst exploring Britain’s Ocean City during the Mayflower 400 commemorations in 2020. A Second AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence

The gastronomic offerings of the Duke’s restaurant has been recognised with a coveted award. We are proud to receive a second AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence, following a highly favourable inspection last month. This award is a significant accolade, making our restaurant one of only a handful of establishments in Plymouth to attain this standard. Two Rosettes are awarded only to restaurants that meet exacting criteria of innovation, technical skill and culinary judgement set by the AA.
