Weddings have been a part of The Duke's story from the beginnings, with couples returning year after year to celebrate their 40th, 50th and even 60th Wedding Anniversaries in the place they started married life together.
We are now asking all couples to return for a photo shoot and to share their story this September. Plymouth's first luxury hotel has been developing year on year and now we would like to celebrate all of the couples who met, made their vows and celebrated their evening reception in our historic building.

Our Supplier Love this month goes to the super talented Christine Trewinnard, who designs and makes the most stunning bridal gowns. We were lucky enough to work with Christine on our latest stylised shoot (still to be released!) here at the hotel. In total Toby Lowe photographed three wonderful dresses, we were amazed by how unique they were not only in style, but in materials and detail as well. It was a real privilege to team up with Christine, she even designed a dress just for us (how lucky are we!). We can't wait to share the shoot, here is one little teaser from the day advertising our Collection in September, the way the dress floats is amazing!

We love the Theatre at the Duke, as do our guests. With so many fantastic shows coming to the city we are truly blessed. We are particularly excited about the outdoor events being run by the Barbican Theatre. Imagine a hot summer's evening (fingers crossed!) enjoying the fresh air with friends whilst watching a fantastic performance of one of the most popular Shakespeare plays and all in the incredible surroundings of the Royal William Yard. We cannot wait!
